With all the pressures of the Holidays fast approaching we now look ahead to the upcoming Santa Anita meeting and can't wait for the meeting to begin on Sunday, December 26th! The Santa Anita meeting of course will unveil the new dirt course and from what we have heard it's being met with rave reviews from horseman who love it. Training began over the new surface last Monday.
HOY talk between Blame and Zenyatta will begin now and look for the pace to become fast and furious over the next few weeks as the vote draws closer. We can't wait to see what happens this year and hope Zenyatta pulls it out. It should be a very close vote.
Hollywood Park wisely went back to a 4-day week and we wonder why all the Southern California tracks don't go to that platform. It simply makes sense to do that especially with the horse shortage and all.
The seven-year-old gelding Cost of Freedom just keeps on winning races as the son of Cee's Tizzy was perfectly spotted again by his connections in Saturday's $55,000-added Miles Tyson. Under Joe Talamo, the John Sadler trainee wired his rivals in track record time and won in hand. Look for him back at Santa Anita as he looks for his fourth win in a row.
The Grade I $300,000 Hollywood Starlet went to Turbulent Descent for trainer Mike Puype under David Flores and the daughter of Congrats (A.P. Indy) looked solid keeping her unbeaten streak in tact. She is now a perfect 3 for 3 lifetime and has the makings of a very nice filly.
We hope to see you out at closing week at Hollywood Park. If not, maybe we'll meet with you at Santa Anita in the near future. http://www.horseracing-selections.com/ is the place to be for winning information! Take us to the track with you!
